Spencer Havner vs Wide Receivers Picked in the First Round of the Draft
Who do you think would have more career receiving touchdowns: a receiver picked in the top 10 of the draft or a converted linebacker that entered the league as an undrafted free agent? If you picked the latter, you’re correct as those players were Kevin White (0) and Spencer Havner (4) respectively.
Kevin White isn’t alone though. Here are all of the wide receivers picked in the first round since 2006 (same year Havner entered the league) and have fewer career touchdown receptions than Spencer.
Craig Davis: Selected with the 30th pick in 2007 by the Chargers, he ended up with two touchdown receptions
Jonathan Baldwin: Selected with the 26th pick in 2011 by the Chiefs, he also had two touchdown receptions
A.J. Jenkins: Selected with the 30th pick in the 2012 draft, Jenkins didn’t have any career touchdown receptions:
Kevin White: As mentioned above, he was the 7th pick in the 2015 draft by the Bears and thus far had zero touchdown receptions. He is still in the league though, so there’s always hope for him yet.

Havner’s entire 2009 season was magical. He had a receiving touchdown against the Browns, Cowboys, and had two against the Vikings in Brett Favre’s return to Lambeau Field.
